Ireland fur trade overview
Ireland’s fur trade is very limited, recording negligible imports and exports of raw furskins in 2024 and showing a sharp decline in raw furskin exports corresponding to the 2022 ban on fur farming.
Trade in tanned furskins and furskin apparel is also very minor, with 2024 showing tanned furkin imports of just USD 128,000 and exports of USD 145,000. Furskin apparel totalled USD 842,000 in imports and USD 138,000 in exports.
